These last few months have been a whirlwind of activities, with both of us spending much of September and October doing ministry in our individual church portfolios and preparing for our six-week vision trip. We thank God that after 2 and a half years, Jon finished his final part-time diploma certificate and officially completed his studies in urban agriculture training at a local polytechnic! Phoebe is also thankful that she is almost at her two-year mark (on 4 January 2023!) of serving in church and she has been blessed with understanding co-workers who were willing to release her for six weeks for the vision trip.
We went for our vision trip from end-October to early-December which we had planned since early this year. We are so grateful that we made it to and through the trip! The purpose of our vision trip is to provide space for God to speak to us about His leading towards full-time missions in 2023, to get a glimpse of post-COVID Thailand as well as to visit ministries and missionaries. We are thankful for the people that we got to meet, friends that we could reconnect with, and the opportunities to witness God’s work in various places in Thailand.
As we returned to Singapore, we have been assured of God’s calling for us to Thailand and at the same time, having much to think, consider and pray about in terms of our direction and posture as we embark on this new chapter of ministry and life next year. We hope to share more about our trip with you over the coming months!
